CANOE
D-1 : We drive to Tsiroanomandidy across the area of Itasy’s volcano.
Night at Tsiroanomandidy.

D-2 : We fly to Ankavandra. It’s our starting point of the Manambolo’s
river’s way down. We spend the night on the river’s banks.
Night in tents.

D-3 : We begin our journey in canoes. We see a beautiful landscape
of hills which are carved by erosion. Night in tents.

D-4 : We move again by the water way. The river losing his course in
the sand’s banks, we have to follow the inhabitants of the region who
show us the way. During our passage, the discovery of the different
villages will be follow by the joy’s shouts of the children. Night in tents.

D-5 : Near the mountain of Bemaraha, human life begin almost to be
rare. The landscape is different. In order to cross the mountain, the
river go along the cliffs, and the banks let appear some walls of sand,
dug by the swelling. Night in tents.
 
 

D-6 : This day is the end of the river’s way down in the impressive silence of the deep throats, in which
a long parade of verticals rocky’ walls give us the feeling that we are totally isolated of the rest of the
world. Night at Bekopaka.

D-7 : We discover the spectacular site of the Tsingy of Bemaraha’s National Park. But we have to warm
you that this walk is hard and so it’s require a good physical condition, because of the hot weather of this
exceptional « rocky forest ». Night in tents.

D-8 : We drive to the natural reserve of Kirindy by crossing the river of Tsiribihina, thanks to a ferry-boat.
Then we go for a night walk in the dry forest. Night at Kirindy.

D-9 : We visit again the reserve, but by day, after we continue our trip to Morondava. We don’t forget to
stop to the famous Way of the Baobabs for the sunset. Night at Morondava.

D-10 : We fly back to Antananarivo. Flight to Paris. END.

SEASON : May to October.
