SOLIDARITY TOUR |
| INTEREST : This
tour was borned thanks to the Non-Govermental Organisation « Association des Populations des Montagnes du Monde », which work on rural development projects. The different goals of this project are : to develop moderns farming techniques ; to put on value the local art ; and to protect an ancient and wealthy forest. This experience will make you aware of your cultural exchange and will permit you to live like a malagasy during three days. D-1 : We arrive to the rural commune of Ambohimahamasina, where we begin a walk of four hours across rice fields. We arrive at the Itaolana’s village, received by the local people. Night in an inhabitant’s house. D-2 : We begin the climbing of the Ambondrombe’s sacred moutain. But before, the guide will realize the « saotra » which is a present to the ancestor (6h of walk). We go across an old and protected forest, to discover some animals and rare plants. Then we arrive to the Ambalahazo’s village. Night in an inhabitant’s house. D-3 : We visit a local forge workshop, where the worker initiate us, thanks to several movment ; hammer knocks and bellows. Then we go to meet the women of the village, who develop the local art. You will surprise you plaiting pandanus or vinda’s leafs, to do bags or hats, that you will take with you, in your baggages, in memory of the travel. To finish, we return to the Ambohimahamasina’s village. END. |
